A heavy hailstorm has hit Skukuza in Kruger National Park.
The southern section of Kruger experienced a devastating hailstorm last night, the incident left in its wake destruction of cars, camping site and some properties.
The storm consisted of heavy golf ball size hail.
The General Manager of the Marula Region, Lucy Nhlapho, says it was chaotic and they had to run for cover.
“It started at 19:37 on the dot. I remember I had just put the car in the garage after seeing the clouds. The thunder and lightning then started. I’m not sure, but in Skukuza now there’s no electricity. We do have big generators, but I don’t know because it’s dangerous, it’s heavy hail.”
Nhlapho says the whole camp has no electricity.
Here are some of the photos from the incident:

We hope everyone involved in the incident is safe as well as the animals.
